Silver: the element of change

The Silver Institute released a new video. The video covers numerous facets of one of the most widely-used and indispensable precious metals: silver. The video explores silver’s role in history and how it changed the course of countless lives in times of the Greek and Roman Empires, when it was used to prevent infection.

Very interesting video!!

Silver Love !!!

I want to start talking about one of my favorite material, SILVER!!!! For me is not as “serious” as gold so it lets designers be more playful and more creative, I think.

Silver has been around us for a long time. Did you know? The first mine of silver was found in Turkey between 4,000 and 3,00 B.C
Probably the most important role of this metal was in the creation of United States currency, in fact, Congress used silver to create the U.S. monetary system in the late 1700s. (www.metallixrefining.com)

Right now the countries that produce the most amount of silver are Mexico and Peru, United States is positioned in 9th. Place.

And here is a taste of the amazing things you can find in silver …
ENJOY!!!! ☺
